Dr. Soroudi is a board-certified, sub-specialty-trained Ophthalmologist who is one of a rare breed of eye surgeons who specialize in all aspects of Vision Corrective Surgery, Ophthalmic surgery, as well as Eyelid Plastic (Oculoplastic) Surgery. Having personally performed thousands of complicated eye & eyelid operations, Dr. Soroudi is recognized as one of the most experienced and meticulous eye surgeons in the country today, and having founded his own eye "hospital" in the city of Huntington Park, he has extensive experience in treating advanced ocular conditions that, left untreated, can lead to complete blindness.
Dr. Soroudi is on volunteer staff at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute as Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology, he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and he is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. A. Ebbie Soroudi, MD, MS
Dr. Soroudi completed his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering and graduated with high honors (magna cum laude) from USC. He obtained his Master of Science Degree in Physiological Science from UCLA in only one year and went on to the UC Irvine College of Medicine to obtain his Medical Doctorate Degree. Here, he was awarded the coveted IRTA fellowship by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which allowed him the opportunity to train and do research in ocular gene-therapy at the world famous National Eye Institute. He also completed numerous externships in the field of plastic & reconstructive surgery at UC Irvine, USC, UCLA, as well as Stanford University where he published his work in the
Annals of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Soroudi obtained extensive surgical training at the LA County Hospital in East Los Angeles as a surgery intern, and completed his residency and served as chief resident in Ophthalmology at the LA County Hospital in South Central Los Angeles under the supervision of internationally recognized eye surgeons from the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. Here, he had the opportunity to gain tremendous experience in performing some of the most challenging ophthalmic operations seen anywhere in the world involving every sub-specialty in Ophthalmology which included Advanced Cataract/Lens Surgery, Pterygium Surgery & Ocular Surface Reconstruction, Corneal Transplantation Surgery, Retinal Surgery, Glaucoma Surgery, and a great deal of eye trauma and Oculoplastic Surgery. Here, he was chosen as the hospital's Resident of the Year two years in a row, and to this day, some of his patients from his residency days continue to come to his private offices for their eye care.
Dr. Soroudi spent a year at the Division of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA where he had the opportunity to pursue his research interests on Thyroid-related (Graves) Orbital Disease and learn more about complicated eyelid surgery. His research findings here have been published in the prestigious Journal of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery multiple times.
Dr. Soroudi also completed a clinical fellowship in kerato-refractive surgery at the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center‘s Laser Eye Associates, where he obtained sub-specialty training in performing all-laser and "flapless" LASIK, and gained extensive experience to implant intacs to treat severe Keratoconus.
Dr. Soroudi has written a book titled “Advanced Refractive Surgery,” he has published multiple papers in reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals and he has invented and holds two U.S. Patents on a product which is sold over-the-counter nationwide at over 5000 pharmacies (including Rite Aid). This product (called
Eye-press®) is approved by the U.S. FDA to treat a number of conditions that commonly affect the eyelids (e.g., Sties, Chalazia and Blepharitis) and has become the #1 recommended treatment for these conditions by eyelid and anterior segment specialists nationwide.
Dr. Soroudi continues to be involved with research, teaching, and academic enterprise. He speaks fluent Farsi and Spanish, enjoys riding horses and plays polo in his rare spare time.
